Circuit Judge Gerald B. Tjoflat has been a judge since 1968. During his career, he has presided over multiple cases of note. As he is a distinguished alumnus of Duke Law School, he was asked to record a series of oral histories for Duke's Bolch Judicial Institute. The interviews were conducted primarily by lawyers and judges who had clerked for Judge Tjoflat after law school. The topics of the interviews include major events in the judge’s career and education and his interests. They provide a unique and informative perspective from the bench.
