
Speaker Series
Florida Middle District Court will host a speaker series with one live event in each courthouse, live-streamed to the others. For these live-stream events, the bar associations will be organizing brown-bag gatherings to watch the speakers and discuss their presentations. All Speaker Series Events will be held at noon. The bar associations will be collecting reservations for the events. Please check the Middle District's website, www.flmd.uscourts.gov, for links to RSVP. The links will appear by February 20, 2026.

July 1st Celebration
On July 1st, at 4:00 p.m., the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida will host celebrations for members of the bar, the community, and the court family. There will be patriotic music from military bands or local ensembles, all-American food, sealing of a time capsule for opening in 2076, unveiling of banners for displays that will replace the 60th anniversary banners, planting of a tree at each courthouse, reading of a court proclamation about the court's dedication to the principles in the Declaration of Independence, and an actor in period garb reading the Declaration of Independence. Pocket Constitutions/Declarations will be distributed as a party favor, of course.
